SuperMimi!

The adventures of SuperMimi as she battles the evil King Koopa and his son Duck in an effort to rescue her friends Mario, Luigi, Baby Yoshi, Mama Yoshi, and Dug.

Mimi and Dug

This is Mimi and Dug. For those of you who don’t know Dug he is the talking dog that was in the Pixar movie ‘Up’ this past summer. Dug is also Mimi’s favorite toy ever since she got it for Christmas. She sleeps with Dug, talks to Dug, and takes him almost everywhere she goes.

Since Christmas I have watch ‘Up’ at least 20 times and watch ‘Dug’s Big Adventure’ (the short animated movie that came with the Blu-Ray), at least 30 times. Watching ‘Up’ with Mimi doesn’t mean watching it from beginning to end, usually it consists of watching the part when Dug first appeared, then skipping to the end where Dug and Carl goes to save Kevin and Russell. I enjoyed ‘Up’ the first couple times I saw it, and to be able to keep Mimi interested for such a long time is really a testament of what a great movie it is for kids, however I really mean it when I say I would be very happy if I don’t see that movie again for a really long time.

Family Pictures - Year 3

Every year Annie and I make a point to take a picture of Mimi once a year just to keep track of our growth together as a family. We usually do it around Mimi’s birthday however because this year we were moving to our new place, we didn’t get around to it until last month. Also because of our new place, we elected to go to a slightly cheaper studio. The results…well Mimi came out still cute but just not very…Mimi like. They dressed Mimi up and also did her hair to a more cutesy style. However if you know Mimi…she is kind of a tomboy and I am just not use to seeing her like this. But overall the pictures are fine and we can say this is kind of what we looked like in December of 2009. However…probably will not going back to that studio again.
